What the app keeps, and why.

Muhurta Pomodoro is a free focus timer made by one person, Harsh. This page says plainly what it keeps about you, where, who can see it, and how to have it removed.

Last updated 26 October 2026

In short

  • Your focus history and settings are kept in your own account, so they follow you to every computer and phone you sign in on.
  • No ads, no tracking, no analytics. Nothing is sold or shared.
  • You can ask for your account and everything in it to be deleted at any time.

What your account holds

  • Your email, to sign in and to send you sign-in codes.
  • Your password, if you set one. It is stored scrambled by our database service and cannot be read, not even by the maker.
  • Your name and username. A last name is optional.
  • If you sign in with Google: your name and email address from Google. Nothing else: not your contacts, not your mail, not your files.
  • Your focus sessions: when each one started and ended, what kind it was (focus, rest, Flow, Timer) and how long it lasted.
  • Your settings and your own rhythms (the timer combinations you create).
  • For each computer or phone you use: the app version, the kind of device (Mac, Windows, iPhone or Android) and when it was last online. This is how updates reach everyone.
  • Feedback you send from the app, with the app version and kind of device it came from.

What stays on your device

Each computer or phone keeps a copy of your account's data so the timer works without internet. Signing out uploads anything not yet saved, then removes that copy. Uninstalling the app removes it too.

Who can see it

You. And Harsh, as the app's maker, who can see the list of accounts (names, usernames and emails), which version each device runs, totals such as focus hours and number of sessions, and the feedback you send. This is used only to run the app, fix problems and answer you. Nobody else sees it.

Services that help run the app

  • Supabase stores the accounts and the data above.
  • Google handles "Continue with Google" when you choose it, and Gmail sends the sign-in codes. The app and this website load their fonts from Google Fonts, so Google sees your device's internet address when the fonts load.
  • GitHub hosts this website and the downloads. The app asks GitHub about once an hour whether a new version is out, so GitHub sees your device's internet address.
  • ZenQuotes supplies the quotes under the timer. Nothing about you is sent with the request.
  • iPhone notifications: when the iPhone app leaves the screen with a timer running, it books the end time and the notification text, with no account attached, so the bell can still ring. The booking is removed as soon as it is sent, or when you come back to the app.

Emails

Only sign-in codes and password resets, and only when you ask for them. No newsletters.

Deleting your account

Email muhurata.pomodoro.timer@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, and your account and everything in it will be deleted within 30 days, and you'll get a reply when it is done.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything that matters is said plainly in the app's "What's new".
